Drake's Home

Ginine blushed deeper and hid her face in her hand, "Well... that's one way of putting it..." Maria snickered, "Seems like my 'little sister' is growing up. I'd like to meet this person. I think you already know that though." Ginine nodded, "I'll have him come by and see you sometime."

Drake shrugs. "Well what's his name? I might know him." he says, smiling.

"His name is Rock. He's rather strong which is a plus for me," Ginine explained. "Hm... well, make sure he knows his place," Maria joked.

"Oh Lord..." sighs Drake. "Rock is the name of the city's strongest underground fighter. He build a house out of the men he's killed... allegedly."

"He seemed kind enough to me..." Ginine remarked. Maria sighed, "Be careful with someone like that... I don't want you getting hurt of put in danger's way." Ginine laughed, "And you're never in harm's way? Your husband is the most powerful warrior in Sacriana, therefore causing all sorts of evil to flock to you two. And that evil knows once you're alone without him, they can attack." Maria nodded and sighed, "Sad thing is, you're right..."

"I met Rock once... he seems nice enough outside a fight." says Drake. "Perhaps... at the very least he'll keep you safe." he says.

"Just as you do for your wife. So I should be fine," Ginine added. Maria nodded, "What you chose to do is up to you. I will not stop you from doing anything. Just make sure he comes by the house for a visit. I have some things to say to him."

Drake thinks. "Why not stay here, Ginine? We have more than enough room. It's better than the inn. And of course, Rock is welcome."

She smiled, "If that's alright with the both of you." Maria placed her hand on Ginine's, saying, "Of course it's alright. I'll make up the guest room." She then stood up and did so. "He knows where I am... but should I have him come now?" Ginine asked Drake.

Drake tilts his head, then nods. "By all means, Ginine, should you be able to find him." he says, smiling.

"I'll go look for him then. I'll see you both when I return," Ginine said smiling. She stood up and walked out. Maria finished making up the guest room and walked over to Drake. "I hope she'll be okay."

Drake tilts his head. "What do you mean by that? I don't quite understand. With Rock around, she ought to be okay."

"I know... but I hope it doesn't become something like you and me... I'm not the most liked around here," she frowned, placing her hands on his shoulders.

"Nor am I. You're quite desired as well, or have you forgotten Silvar?" he asks, smirking a bit and quirking an eyebrow at her.

Maria's face showed the indifference she felt for the man. "He just wanted to be my suitor, and he didn't suit my tastes," she laughed.

"Well, even so..." he chuckles. "There's every chance e could have been had I not come around... for that alone I dislike him."

"True..." she replied, "But I wouldn't trade you for anyone." She leaned down and kissed his cheek.

"Nor would I for you." he says, nodding quickly. "so we're agreed."

Maria snickered. She rubbed her hands on his shoulders and said, "I honestly don't know what I'd do without you darling."

He laughs. "You'd focus on your studies and learn a LOT faster." he jokes with her.

"Maybe so..." she giggled. "Well... are ya hungry?" she asked. "I can have some food ready for when Ginine comes back, I may as well cook you something too," she joked.

He rolls his eyes. "Heh, alright alright. Well then... I look forward to it. What might you be making this time?"

"Well... I have that chicken hanging in our icebox. I could cook that into a nice stock and make some dumplings," she stated.

Ginine and Rock approached the Reaver house and they got to the door. As he knocked on the door, Ginine gripped on his arm.

"Could you get that for me hun?" Maria said to Drake as she began to go into the kitchen.

Drake heads to the door and opens it, greeted by a bone-crushing bearhug from ROck. "Dragon, buddy! I missed ya, man! It's been, what, like, four months 'r somethin'?" he asks. Drake sighs. "Been too soon." he jokes.
