Drake's Home

He smiles. Although he wanted to finish quickly, he couldn't... it was all too good to just polish off.

"Restricting yourself dear?" she laughed.

He blinks, glancing up at her. "what do you mean, Maria?"

"It just seemed like you were taking a bit," she joked, "Didn't know if you were nervous or anything."

"No, no! It's just... this is REALLY good!" he assures her.

"Okay good then," Maria grinned. She continued to eat her dinner.

He smiles, eventually finishing his meal and waiting for her to do the same as well.

Maria giggled seeing he had finished. She ate on her meal, soon finishing as well. Standing up, she took the plates and went to the basin to wash them.

Drake smiles and stands, blushing. "Well, I'll be in the room... join me shortly?"

Maria finished washing up from dinner and went to their bedroom. "I'm here darling," she said smiling.

After a long and entertaining night, Maria awoke on top of Drake. She noticed he was still heavily asleep. "There's no waking him," she laughed silently. Getting up off of him, she wobbled a bit, feeling her body being a bit worn out. She grabbed another clean robe and slipped it on. This one was a deep crimson, she didn't want to stand out too much today. After gathering her things for training, she kissed Drake softly on the lips and said, "I love you... I'll see you soon my sweet." And with that she left.

Drake's eyes snap open and he sits up, looking around. Maria was gone already. He blushes, recalling the previous night, before he hops out of bed and dresses up.

They approached their home and she gripped her arm, making sure it didn't bleed out too much. "I never thought I'd get a bite this deep before," she sighed.

After Drake left, Maria was alone at the house. She went to the basin and cleaned her bite out before properly dressing. She looked for gauze... unfortunately, all they had was cheesecloth. "This'll have to do..." she sighed with a grin. Ever worrisome, she paced a bit wondering why Drake had left. Though, she put it from her mind and laid down in bed a bit.

Maria shot up in bed and sneezed quietly. "Oh my... someone must be talking about me," she laughed before laying back down.

Maria awoke once more. She sat up in bed, clutching her abdomen. "What is this?" she asked herself, forgetting the pain in her arm. Getting up, she stumbled lightly over to the window and stuck her head out, hoping some fresh air would help. Well, it didn't help too much. The feeling of nausea was gone in an instant, but so were the contents of her stomach. She stood back up and closed the window, going over to her personal basin and washing her mouth out. "I... I hope this means what I think it means, and if it does, I have to tell Drake soon," she smiled at herself in the small mirror by her basin. Then with a bit of hope, she sat back down on the bed, a bit too excited to sleep, and waited for her dear husband.

Drake heads in, yawning lightly. "Maria? You still up?" he calls as he heads through the house to his room.

Maria perked up and she smiled knowing Drake was back. "Yes dear, I'm in here," she called back, slowly getting to her feet and scurrying into where he was. With a flushed grin, she hugged him tightly, "I missed you..."

He hugs her back, smiling. "My, you seem rather excited to see me!"

She breathed in deeply and then exclaimed, "I think we got our wish!" She squealed in delight, hoping he knew what she meant by that.

He beams lightly. "Mmm, and on our first try, too!"

"I know..." she grinned and danced around slightly. "I feel absolutely wonderful right now!" Maria let out in a pleased sigh. Then running up, she kissed Drake's cheek gently, whispering, "Thank you."

He smiles, holding her close. "I'm glad, Maria... I've scarcely seen you this happy... it's great. It makes my heart soar, seeing you like this."
